George Paul is the Vice President of Technical Services at NACA. In this role, George coordinates with the FAA and other federal agencies on behalf of NACA members regarding Operations, Maintenance and Safety issues.
Since rejoining NACA in 2010, George has led NACA’s Maintenance, Operations and Safety Councils, which serve as the primary forum for NACA Member company representatives to work directly with FAA representatives on their respective issues. He also serves as a primary member of the Commercial Aviation Safety Team (CAST), including on its Executive Committee, as well as on the OpSpecs Working Group (OSWG), on the Aviation Safety Information and Analysis Sharing (ASIAS) Executive Committee, on the Infoshare planning group and as Co-chair of the Infoshare Cargo break out session. He also serves on the Aviation Rulemaking Advisory Committee (ARAC). George previously served in this role at NACA from 2002 until 2007.
George began his aviation career with People Express Airlines and was the Director of Maintenance Control when Continental acquired People Express in 1987. He stayed with Continental Airlines for two years as Regional Manager for aircraft appearance. In 1989, he joined Burlington Air Express as their Director of Maintenance. In 1996, George joined Gemini Air Cargo as Sr. Vice President of Maintenance and Engineering, Material/Purchasing, and Ground Handling, where he was instrumental in certifying Gemini Air Cargo as a part 121 Flag, domestic and supplemental operator. He also served as the Chief Operations Officer for MAXjet Airways, an all-business class B767 operator headquarters in Dulles from 2007 to 2010.
George served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1975 to 1979 and graduated from the Teterboro School of Aeronautics in 1981.
