Cybersecurity Council

Organized under the purview of the Vice President for Government Affairs and Security Policy, the Cybersecurity Council meets twice per year to provide a forum for members’ cybersecurity management staff to exchange ideas and solutions to various cybersecurity-related issues that affect the health of their airlines. Consisting of cybersecurity professionals from our member airlines, the Cybersecurity Council ensures members are provided with the latest information from our government partners to increase aviation cybersecurity across the system.

Meetings feature:

  • Presentations of services and products of interest to members’ cybersecurity representatives
  • Presentations and discussions with speakers from TSA, FBI, and other cybersecurity-related entities in and out of government
  • Identification of policy priorities, as well as specific member airline problems, for NACA staff to work
  • Opportunities to provide input on relevant policy proposals from agencies which regulate the commercial airline industry
  • Opportunities for member airlines to build relationships at various levels of the federal government to enhance aviation cybersecurity
  • Opportunities to share information as appropriate among the member airlines and with government
  • Opportunities to exchange information relating to accident/incident root cause analysis
  • Development of audit and evaluation tools
